Sunday School
Engaging Hearts and Minds for Christ
At St. Peter’s, faith comes alive for every age. From playful Bible stories in PreK to meaningful discussions in high school, each class invites kids and teens to grow in faith, friendship, and purpose. With hands-on learning, music, games, and service, students discover how God’s story connects to their own. Passionate volunteers are always welcome to help shape the next generation.
Sunday School
PreK–4th Grade Students embark on an exciting adventure as they explore Bible stories through hands-on activities, interactive games, and creative crafts that bring each story to life. Each lesson connects to worship and follows the lectionary and church year, helping children experience God’s Word in fun, meaningful, and memorable ways.
Grades 5-8 students have a three-year curriculum studying scripture, church history, and religious traditions. Using videos, music, crafts, games, and discussion, students will gain a deeper understanding of their faith and build Christian relationships with each other.
Grades 10-12 students focus on pre-confirmation subjects: the Ten Commandments, the Church, the life of Jesus, the Sacraments, and church history. Youth are expected to attend Sunday School and worship, and to participate in the life of the church through assisting in worship, music ministry, outreach activities, fellowship events, and youth events, as requirements for confirmation.
Confirmation Class
Our ninth graders prepare for the Rite of Confirmation each October in this class led by our clergy. Students study Luther’s Small Catechism, the Bible, and the teachings of the Lutheran faith. After completing the class requirements, our confirmands publicly affirm their faith at our Confirmation service.
