Musical Arts – The Pennsylvania Flute Choir

The next concert in the 2019-2020 Musical Arts Concert Series at St. Peter’s will feature the Pennsylvania Flute Choir on Saturday, October 19, 2019, at 7pm.

The Pennsylvania Flute Choir performs a wide variety of music from classical to jazz to sacred. A number of different flutes will be featured in the concert. Based in Chester County, the Pennsylvania Flute Choir is an auditioned, community group of 15-20 flute players from southeaster PA, Delaware, and New Jersey. The Choir was founded in 2002 by flutist Georgia Dimaano. Currently, Heidi Bingham is the Music Director and Conductor for the Choir. She joined the Pennsylvania Flute Choir in 2015 and is excited now to be the conductor.

This concert is free and open to the public. A freewill offering is collected during intermission. Ten percent of the free-will offering will go to the rebuilding of Tanzania’s Busoka Lutheran Church, which was destroyed by windshear. Busoka is a companion congregation of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Neffsville. For further information, individuals may contact the church office during business hours at 717-569-9211 or visit our concert series webpage. Connect with us on Facebook and share the event with your friends.

The next event in the series will be held Sunday, December 1 at 4pm and will feature Voices of the Valley as a part of their holiday concert series, “Rejoice.” This holiday concert is not to be missed. Voices of the Valley presents an evening of beautiful music in our beautiful Sanctuary to put you in the Christmas spirit.
