Serving Each Other

We reach out to members in our own community, so as to strengthen our common service to the world. When the Body of Christ is supported faithfully, we are better able to share our love and resources with those in need both near and far.

Homebound Ministries

We support those who cannot regularly join in communal church activities.

HOME COMMUNION MINISTRY

A trained team of Eucharistic ministers bring Holy Communion to our homebound members each month, in their homes and in institutional settings.

SAGES WORSHIP SERVICES

On Maundy Thursday and the Thursday before Christmas, we offer a pew communion service for members who cannot regularly be at worship, with drivers who will pick up those who have no family to drive them.

FLOWER & CD DELIVERIES

We deliver flowers and CD from the Sunday traditional worship service to those homebound members who request them.

Support Ministries

We support each other through a number of practical ministries.

PRAYER CHAIN MINISTRY

For those needing prayers or who know of a loved one for which prayers would be appreciated. Prayer Chain Request

PARISH DRIVERS

For those needing transportation to doctor visits and medical tests or procedures, we have people who will assist in helping people get to their appointments.

MEAL TRAIN

For those in temporary recovery from illness, rehabilitation, grief, or childbirth, we use a Meal Train web program to provide and deliver meals to people’s homes.

BIRTHDAY CARD MINISTRY

We send birthday cards to each of our Sages (persons 80 years of age or older) during the month of their birthdays.

SAGES RECOGNITION

In August, we have a Sages Celebration at our Sunday worship services, and honor all those who are 80 years of age or older inviting them to stay for a brief social after services.

Visitation Ministries

We stay connected to each other in a variety of interpersonal ways.

VISITATION TEAM

A trained team of parish visitors reaches out to other members in times of illness, grief and life transition, with face-to-face visits.

NIGHTINGALE TEAM

A trained team of hospital visitors supplements the visitation ministry of our rostered leaders, with regular visits to our members who are hospitalized.

IN TOUCH TEAM

A trained team of church members leads a weekly phone and card ministry to members who are facing illness, rehabilitation, life transitions, grief, and loneliness.

Prayer Request

St. Peter’s Prayer Chain offers prayers daily. If you would like us to lift up someone in prayer, send a prayer request.
