Globally
Tanzania Mission Committee
St. Peter’s has a Companion Congregation relationship with the Konde Diocese in Tukuyu, Tanzania, Africa. Our partner church there, Busoka Lutheran Church, was established in 1982. Part of our relationship includes supporting orphans local to Busoka. An annual Cookie Walk raises money specifically for Busoka.
Community
Community Meals
Twice a month, members of St. Peter's cook, deliver, and help serve a free community meal at Grace Lutheran Church on Queen Street in Lancaster.
Food Collection
Located in our church narthex (lobby) are two “Feed My Sheep” shopping carts where non-perishable food items are collected for our local Food Hub, run by the Lancaster County Council of Churches. Any food is welcome or accepted; check the announcements for specific needs each month.
River’s Place Clothing Bank
River’s Place provides clothing for school-aged children free of charge. It is a joint effort between the Manheim Township Ministerium of Churches and the Manheim Township School District.
