Santa’s Workshop
Celebrate the joy and wonder of the Christmas season with St. Peter’s kids! Children in preschool through 4th grade are invited to a special morning centered on the true meaning of Christmas. Together, we’ll share a light continental breakfast, decorate cookies, sing Christmas carols, and take part in a service project that reflects God’s love in action. And of course, there will be a special visit from Santa! It’s a faith-filled, festive experience that helps children celebrate the hope, love, and joy of Christ’s birth.
Easter Egg Hunt
Our annual Easter Egg Hunt is a can’t-miss celebration that brings joy to the whole community! Children ages 3 through 4th grade are invited to join a fun-filled morning packed with excitement— crafts, snacks, a special visit from the Easter Bunny, and, of course, the thrill of the egg hunt itself.
Vacation Bible School
Get ready for an unforgettable adventure! Each year, we welcome church members and the community to join us for an exciting week of Vacation Bible School. Children ages 4 through grade 5 are invited to be part of the fun!
VBS 2026 will take place in the evenings, July 20–23, and this year’s theme—Rainforest Falls: Exploring the True Nature of God—will take kids on a wild journey through lush jungles and rushing waters. Along the way, they’ll discover what it means to be deeply rooted in a relationship with God.
First Communion Instruction
Celebrate a meaningful step in your child’s faith journey! Each year, children and their parents are invited to share in a special, instructional experience designed to prepare them for First Communion. This meaningful class is a time to explore, learn and grow together as children begin to understand significance of Communion. Families are encouraged to join when children start asking questions and parents feel they’re ready to take this next step in their faith journey. (Some as young as Kindergarten, and some in later elementary school.) The celebration continues as participants are joyfully recognized during worship service the following week.
Sunday School
Get ready for an exciting adventure! Children will dive into Bible stories through action-packed lessons filled with hands-on activities, interactive games, and imaginative crafts that bring each story to life. Every lesson is thoughtfully connected to worship and follows the lectionary and church year, helping kids connect deeply with each story in a fun, meaningful, and memorable way.
Children’s Ministries Committee
Looking for a fun way to get engaged at St. Peter’s? Look no further than the Children’s Ministries Committee. We are always accepting new members and no experience is required, just a willingness to get involved! Our committee meets quarterly and helps to plan and oversee the Easter Egg Hunt, Santa Breakfast and VBS. Contact tara@stpeterslutheran.org to volunteer.
