Covid-19 Relief Fund

The Covid-19 crisis has claimed health, lives, and in its wake has claimed job security and livelihoods, as well. Responding to our mission in “building a community of faith by God’s grace,” we as a community of faith hope to support each other in this unprecedented time.

Financial Assistance

During the April 2020 Congregation Council meeting, the council approved the formation of a Benevolent Relief Fund, that has as its purpose, “To offer modest, temporary financial assistance for those whose livelihoods have been compromised by COVID-19.”

One-time grants of up to $1,000 may be extended to church member households in which job loss or furlough has occurred. Evidence of job loss or furlough shall be required.

Recipients will not be required to pay back the grants, but will be encouraged to do so (in total or in part) in the spirit of “paying it forward.”

Those who need to submit applications can do so by contacting out to Pastor Craig Ross, Sister Dottie Almoney, or Pastor Sarah Teichmann, and a small packet of information can be mailed or emailed to you.

Giving to the Fund

For persons who would like to support this benevolent ministry at St. Peter’s, donate through our Tithe.ly online giving platform. If you donate by mail, please memo the check “COVID-19 Relief.” If you give through Tithe.ly, please give through the “Covid-19 Relief” option on the Tithe.ly page.

Being Church Together

Our thanks to each of you who will find a way to reach out to others in their time of need, whether it be financially, tangibly through food or other donations, or with the human capital of words of support sent through the mail, email or digital phone options.
