Although Christine had only been a member of St. Peters for six years, she left an indelible impression on everyone with whom she interacted. As an active member of the Senior Choir, chair of the Global Mission Committee, and member of the Stewardship Committee, she set a standard for using her time and talent to serve others. A philanthropist and activist, Christine was the driving force behind many campaigns, charity drives, and fundraisers. She was on the President’s Board of Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) and Lutheran World Relief (LWR) organizations and was the Malaria Campaign chairperson for the Lower Susquehanna Synod. She had a special passion for women’s rights and was an active board member of the YWCA in Harrisburg and P.E.O. Sisterhood. Chris loved God, served others and helped change lives. In honor of Christine’s work, a Global Mission Memorial Fund has been established in her name. We hope that you will consider supporting this Fund now and in the future. Checks can be made out to St. Peters Lutheran Church and designated Mummert Memorial Fund. Thank you from the Stewardship Committee.
