Musical Arts – Hershey Handbell Ensemble

The next concert in the 2021-2022 Musical Arts Concert Series at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Neffsville, will be a handbell concert by the Hershey Handbell Ensemble, on Sunday, December 5, 2021, at 4pm.

The Ensemble was formed in 2004 and is based in south-central Pennsylvania. It was formed to fulfill the need for an auditioned community ensemble comprised of persons able to play advanced literature, interested in advancing the art of handbell ringing through educatio nand performance while uniting people through the musical arts. The fifteen member group under the direction of Dr. Shawn Gingrich performs on seven and a half octaves of Malmark Handbells, Handchimes, and other assorted instruments.

The ensemble was formed to fulfill the need for an auditioned community ensemble comprised of persons able to play advanced literature, interested in advancing the art of handbell ringing through education and performance, and interested in uniting people through this musical art.

This concert is free and open to the public. A freewill offering is collected during intermission with a portion of the funds going to the Lancaster County Food Hub. Masks are required.
