Children and Youth Update – December 20, 2021

Please be aware of the following updates and changes that will occur in the next few weeks here at St. Peter’s as it pertains to our children and youth ministry. We will continue to wear masks indoors. Please reach out to Sister Dottie or Pastor Ross with any questions.

CHRISTMAS EVE FAMILY SERVICES UPDATE – Please be aware that our 2PM, 3:30PM and 5PM family services on Christmas Eve will all feature a “Living Puppet” format as the sermon for each service.  Children are invited to pick up a mask when arriving for worship.  At the 2PM outdoor worship, they will be on a table near the altar and at 3:30 & 5PM indoor services, the masks will be on a table in the narthex.  The sermon will be a story that included each of the animals represented by our masks.  When a child hears his or her animal named, they should stand up and make a loud and joyful imitation of that animal’s roar, bark, croon, bray, etc.  It’s gonna be a fun … and noisy Christmas at the manger.

SUNDAY SCHEDULE UPDATE – Beginning January 9, we will return to our pre-pandemic Sunday worship and education schedule, which will include a return to our 9:15 Sunday School hour and a continuation of our outdoor portico worship. The schedule beginning on January 9th will be:

Our youth grow into faithful disciples through education, fellowship and service. I am also excited about the new social ministries in which we are partnering with other Manheim Township churches, such as Lydia’s Closet and Homes for Hope.
