August Worship Update

Starting this week, our worship service continues to morph into something we are a bit more used to.

First, we’ll return to the communion schedule we arrived at before the pandemic. 1st and 3rd Sundays, communion will be offered at the 8:00 service (and New Day when it is held regularly). 2nd and 4th Sundays, communion will be offered at the late traditional service (9:45 in the summer, 10:45 in the fall). 5th Sundays and Festivals, communion will be offered at all services.

We’re also going to be trying out serving communion in the form of wafers handed to you by the pastors and wine/juice poured into your cup by communion assistants. We’ll start out by doing this at stations, rather than at the communion rail, until we have a good idea of what it looks like to move around the room safely.

As a result of these changes, we’ll also get to include some sung music during communion. Thank you to everyone for your partnership as we walk back into our worship lives together.
