Weekly Update for April 28

Sarah Teichmann

Hi Folks.  Here are some news items for the coming week.

MISSION CAMPAIGN TOWN HALL

With the Mission Campaign launched in our congregational life, we want to give you a chance to hear more about it.  So please mark your calendars for THIS SUNDAY, May 2 for our Mission Campaign Virtual Town Hall at 9:15 a.m.  Watch for the link to the meeting that will be shared through our usual St. Peter’s communication platforms.  The Musser’s will be with us, and Richie will present updated information on the Campaign, along with co-chairs Jennifer Schlener-Thomas and Adrian Young.  Please also watch your postal mail for paper communications about the appeal.

LIVE STREAM WORSHIP

This Sunday, May 2 we will worship in the sanctuary via Live-stream at our usual time of 10:45 a.m. at  https://www.stpeterslutheran.org/live.   This Sunday will include a special focus on our graduating high school seniors as we recognize this milestone in their lives.

PARKING LOT WORSHIP FOR EARLY RISERS

So … if you are missing 8AM worship, have we got good news for you!  This Sunday, May 2, Parking Lot Worship will be at 8AM, due to the Mission Campaign Town Hall meeting at 9:15 a.m.  You’ll get to sing a couple of hymns, take communion, share some liturgy, and hear a short sermon … all from the comfort of your car.  If you really miss 8AM worship, we better “see you in the lot.”

LYDIA’S CLOSET

Our clothing bank partnership with the Manheim Township School District, Lydia’s Closet will serve our youth and child members in our community this Saturday.  If you have any kid’s or teen clothing you can donate, please consider dropping them off in the bins outside the church’s main entrance.

CHURCH MAIL UPDATE

Please be aware that we are in the process of restarting mail delivery directly to the church building.  We have staff coverage of the office through the mid-late afternoon, and our postal carrier is returning to a mid-afternoon delivery schedule which allows us to get the mail immediately upon delivery. You may now return to using our preferred use of address, which is: St. Peter’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 10 Delp Road, Lancaster, PA  17601.  Thank you for your assistance in helping us keep our mail delivery safe and secure in recent months.
