Hi folks — here is this Wednesday’s update on news from St. Peter’s.

Re-Opening Survey Results
Thank you to the many households who completed the re-opening survey that was shared in last week’s update and E-News. Thus far, over 120 households have responded. Your feedback is very helpful to the church staff, the council, the worship committee, and the covid-19 task force, as we plan and discuss ways that we may safely gather for in-person worship.
With that said, take the survey if you haven’t yet.
Looking at the survey results thus far, we noticed that many who responded to the survey normally attend the Traditional services, so we would love to hear feedback from our folks who normally attend New Day as well.
With folks who have responded, 51% of you have let us know that you “prefer to worship online rather than attend in person right away.” This is helpful information as we continue our plans for live streaming while also planning ways that we may worship in-person.
Church leadership also appreciates the feedback that you have offered about how you take risk management seriously, and how you hope to show love for your neighbor by wearing masks, socially distancing, and engaging in safe-church protocol when you are on-site.
As we move forward in plans for in-person worship and continued live stream worship, we will continue to update you on details and information from our staff, worship and risk management committees, and council.
Live Streaming From The Sanctuary
You may have noticed that the last few weeks Church@Home has been live streamed from the sanctuary. Wiring a network port in the AV room has allowed us to move out of the Teichmann house and into the sanctuary.
At this time we are using a borrowed camera that is functioning as a higher quality webcam. Church leaders are leading worship with the sanctuary as a background. A more sophisticated camera option has been ordered and will be available later this summer. In the future, with the aid of the PTZ (pan-tilt-zoom) camera, the worship space can be used in a more interactive way.
