About our Feasibility Study

As we begin this new year, St. Peter’s celebrates all that God has given to us. As many of you know, we have spent much of the past year envisioning the future of our church and where we, as a congregation, wish to see ourselves grow.

Before we consider launching a mission campaign, it is important for us as the rostered leaders of the church to reach out to receive your feedback. We truly want and need to hear everyone’s voice as we consider where God might best grow our ministry. Over the upcoming months our consultants, Richie and Rachel Musser from Kirby-Smith Associates, will be conducting a Feasibility Study to ask for your feedback on how a mission campaign could support our vision to “show our love for God, our love for neighbors, and our desire to make disciples,” adopted by our congregation in 2018. Many of you may have met them this past weekend when they attended services.

Over the next week, the Mussers will be reaching out to set up a time to speak with you, personally. You will be able to arrange to meet with them either at the church or at a location of your choice. If an in-person meeting is not possible for you, you can make arrangements for a phone interview. We ask that you welcome their call with hospitality and that, when you do speak with them, you do so with honesty. As our mission statement declares, we are “building a community of faith by God’s grace.” Your engagement and candor are vital to our overall mission and to this feasibility study.

Please take a moment to visit our Mission Campaign information page where you can view our draft vision for support and preview the interview questions. We are asking that each household fill out a brief survey by February 17.

We hope you will be receptive to the Mussers when they call. Most of all, thank you for your faith, your prayers, and your support of our wonderful church family as we seek to further discern the direction in which God is calling us!
