Like many of us returning back to school or college this season, St. Peter’s returns back to its Sunday School programs with Christian education for children, youth, and adults.
On Sunday, September 8, the Sunday School year began its Fall season with a focus toward global mission. With a special focus toward learning more about our mission partner church in Tanzania, children and adults alike were immersed into the village and cultural aspects of Busoka, a remote area of Tanzania in Africa.
The children experienced hands-on learning which included creating local musical instruments, jewelry, and learning more about Tanzanian customs and the country itself.
The youth took part in blessing the local community by putting together bags for our local ministry with the Power Packs program.
The Sunday School program begins in September and continues through May. Each Sunday children, youth, and adults gather at 9:15am for a variety of Christian educational opportunities.

Raising Funds For Our Mission Partners
St. Peter’s Lutheran Church has had a 12 year relationship with their companion church, the Busoka Lutheran Church in Tanzania. Last Spring the Busoka Lutheran Church’s building was destroyed by a bad storm, and there is a need to rebuild their building. This Fall, St. Peter’s is beginning a campaign to raise $5,000 to help their companion church rebuild.
