Last Saturday, a group of about 40 musicians from area Lutheran churches got together for a workshop with Thomas Keesecker. Choir members and music directors from Zion in Landisville, Good Shepherd in Lancaster, Emmanuel in Lancaster, and St. Peter’s in Lancaster gathered for fellowship, to sing some beautiful music, and to get ready for the upcoming program year.
Tom is a composer and church musician in the Bel Air, MD area and we’ve sung many of his pieces here at St. Peter’s. His music is accessible, yet beautifully written and captures the meaning of a text. Tom talked to us about leading the people in song, and about telling the story of each piece we sang. We’re grateful for his leadership, humor, and for sharing his talents with us.

Exsultate Ringers (beginning and young ringers) – Sep. 9, 6:30-7:15p
St. Peter’s Ringers (experienced ringers) – Sep. 9, 7:30-8:30p
