Each week we’re spotlighting a ministry at St. Peter’s to show our mission in action. This week, we’re looking at our Worship Ministry.
Our Ministry
We gather as the Body of Christ, so that we are spiritually fed by God’s gracious hand and equipped for ministry in the world, through worshiping together in services of both traditional and contemporary praise settings. Specifically, we utilize vocal and instrumental choirs and soloists, altar supplies, and our sanctuary, former sanctuary and chapel to enhance our worship experience – along with leading wedding and funeral liturgies, special services and community gatherings. Additionally, some of our concrete tools in support of worship are instruments, memorial tributes for worship, liturgical vessels, altar dressings, bulletins, and sanctuary dressings and decorations.
O come, let us sing to the LORD; let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation!
–Psalm:95:1

“Worshiping at St. Peter’s each Sunday is a cornerstone of my faith. The scriptures come alive in varied ways as the Spirit moves through three distinct services each week. I find comfort in the traditional liturgy and I am moved each time I kneel at the altar for communion. Children’s sermons and baptisms are wonderful reminders of the love we felt raising our son here. And the music…. Oh, the music. The choirs lift us as God’s word comes alive through song. Worshiping together as a community of believers is a privilege I cherish.”
