Fun and Fundraising at VBS!

I want to start by saying a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who attended and helped out at Vacation Bible School this year!

It is my sincere hope that every child who attended VBS this year was enriched in faith and friendship. We had a lot of fun, but through it all, we learned about God’s unyielding love. We found adventure, acceptance, joy and rest along our rolling river rampage.  Special thanks goes out to our “Paddle Captain Assistant” Brendan Armitage who set a fun and energetic tone at our opening each night, along with puppeteers Jade Miller, Pastor Ross and Pastor Sarah.

At the beginning of the week, we set a fundraising goal of $300 to support Power Packs Project and provide food for local families in need. I’m thrilled to report that we CRUSHED our goal and raised $523 ($465 in coins collected Sunday through Wednesday and an additional $58 collected on Thursday). Thank you so much to everyone who donated!  We celebrated with a pizza party and s’mores on Thursday evening.

Now that VBS has passed, I’m looking forward to Sunday School starting in September! Mark you calendars…it kicks off on Sunday, September 9th!
