Children’s Music Retreat Recap

If the children are the future of the church, then the church will continue to be full of song!

We had a great time this last Saturday at the Children’s Music Retreat. Fifteen children, youth and parent helpers, Sister Dottie, and I gathered together to make music and prepare music for Sunday worship.

With three baptisms slated for Sunday, we talked about water and baptism, sang “Wade in the Water,” and talked about how God “troubles our waters” through the water and word of baptism.

We also told the story of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego and how they escaped certain death in the fiery furnace.

The children learned about the church year and crafted art related to the year. Watch for some of it to show up in our worship spaces throughout the year.

Check out some photos from the retreat!
Thanks

Finally, on a personal note, I want to express my thanks for the helpers that made this day possible. It was a fun-filled way to kick off the year and begin to develop long-lasting relationships among the children.
