The Lancaster British Brass Band will invade St. Peter’s Lutheran Church on Saturday, August 5, at 7pm, for the final concert in the 2016-2017 Musical Arts Series.
The Lancaster British Brass Band is composed of all brass and percussion instruments, playing music from across various genres—from classical to marches to pop. This concert will include Bach’s “Toccata in D Minor;” Scottish dances; “God Save the Queen;” “Sing, Sing, Sing,” and many others. Dr. Stephen Allen conducts the band, which includes musicians from Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, and New Jersey. All are top-notch musicians with experience as performers, teachers, professors, and soloists.
The next concert in the series, the first of the 2017-2018 Musical Arts Concert Series, will be an organ concert featuring Bálint Karosi, organist at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Manhattan, on October 14, 2017, at 7pm. All concerts are free and open to the public. A freewill offering is collected during intermission.
