Pentecost 2 Sunday Preview

Jesus sends out the disciples as laborers into the harvest. In baptism we too are anointed for ministry, sharing God’s compassion with our needy world.

Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore ask the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.” (Matthew 9:37-38)

From the Lord’s table, we go forth to proclaim the good news, to heal the sick, and to share our bread with the hungry.

Sermon Statement:

Trust Your Gut.

Sunday Music

This Sunday in traditional worship, the song “Spread, O Spread, Almighty Word” (ELW 663) reminds us that prayer and the order to spread abroad God’s mighty word is the ministry to which God has called us.

This Sunday at New Day worship, the Worship Song will be “You are My All in All” and as we sing we proclaim to Jesus that “You are my strength when I am weak, You are the treasure that I seek, You are my all in all.”
